About the Creator



Matt became interested in magic at age 7, when a magician came to his school. Matt continued his love of magic and at the age of 12 he joined the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
 

While in high school Matt honed his magic skills at that timeless and challenging environment of the magic shop in the Mall performing for anyone who came in the shop.
 

During college, in addition to private events, Matt began performing as a magician and actor at Renaissance Festivals.
 

After college Matt continued performing all over the country bringing laughter and magic to audiences of all ages.
 

In 2020 Matt began working on a show that had been percolating in the back of his brain for many years. He loved the idea of making his show more theatrical like an interactive play where the audience is a part of the show.

Thanks to the coaching and help of award winning magician Carisa Hendrix this project has been brought to life and is available for your next event.
 
 
 
 

The Show

Imagine Andy Griffith meets a Magic Show.

Sometimes the most fascinating people are not found in the lofty places of society but are instead found in those places which society thinks of as ordinary.

And in a world where magic is real what would those people be like?

Magically Ordinary follows the misadventures of JD, the wise fool, a fascinating multifaceted character. Most of us know someone like JD, and these fools can actually teach us some important lessons about life while making us laugh.

Magically Ordinary takes that which appears ordinary and turns it into the extraordinary through an immersive set, entertaining stories, and visual moments of magic.

 

JD guides you on this journey of understanding, that magic can be found in the simple people and places that we interact with on a daily basis. JD, embodies the ideals of simplicity, fun, and having a good time.

 

Everyone knows someone like JD, and his goal is simple to make lifelong friends and to make his audience smile.

Technical Information

    • This show is 100% clean.

  • Total run time for the show is 30-60 minutes depending on the event.

  • The show is fully self contained. You only need to provide a 10’x10′ performing area and audience seating, we bring the rest.
